Impact Winter is a post-apocalyptic audio drama set seven years after a comet slammed into Earth, plunging the world into a devastating winter and endless darkness. But that was not the only nightmare unleashed. From the shadows came bloodthirsty monsters. Vampires. The year is 2042. Darci and her younger sister Hope live in a bunker beneath a medieval castle, surviving alongside a small group of others while they wait for the sun to return. But in this brutal new world, nothing is as it seems, including the monsters everyone thinks they understand.

Archive verdictSeason one hits hardest, but even when it softens later the production still feels bigger than most of the field.

Impact Winter earns its place here on production scale and momentum: the sound stays forceful, the threat stays legible, and the show moves with real confidence when it is at its best.

It is strongest as a polished, aggressive survival listen rather than a subtle character study, which makes it an especially easy recommendation for listeners who want big stakes and forward pressure.

I absolutely loved Impact Winter. It grabs you by the throat and pulls you in.

Season 1 is the high point, and it eases off a bit by season 3, but overall it is still an easy recommendation if you want a polished, aggressive audio drama.
